Sorry, no devotional today. We are at our staff planning retreat for our church.
One quick note:
I looked around our room at our meeting yesterday and saw something I was proud of… our room was split evenly between men and women.
Women in leadership/ministry is something I am very passionate about. As someone who has seen so many strong women leaders of faith, I know how important their voices are in our churches. From my Deaconess great-grandmother who impacted my father—my biggest influence—to Huldah Buntain one of my missionary heroes, women are essential in our churches.
I am proud to empower their voices the same way Jesus did with the women at the tomb. [They were the first to preach the gospel of the crucified Christ. They preached to the apostles!]
I love being part of a church and tradition that empowers women to proclaim the gospel at every level of the world.
We need more women's voices at the tables of influence in our churches.
