I believe it was my sophomore year of high school that I read Night by Elie Wiesel.

It was in my English class.

This November, I used Libby (an app that connects with your local library membership to offer free ebooks and audiobooks. Click here to learn more.) to listen to Night again. I do not remember much from my first reading almost a decade ago.

I honestly am not quite sure how.

Sickening.

Within minutes of Wiesel actually recounting the details of his time under the Nazis, which did not happen until approximately 1 hour into listening, I was physically pained with the gruesome details of his account.

Even now as I recall the details of his memoir, I feel again that dropping in my stomach which would happen at every change in story.

Simply put, Night was painfully humbling.
