Stand firm and watch.
A reminder of God's deliverance in Exodus 14.
This morning, part of my devotional reading plan for the year was from Exodus chapter 14. Part of this story that always sticks out to me is God telling Moses to stand firm and not to be afraid. For the Lord is going to be the one who wins the battle against the Egyptians.
Funny enough, I preached on this passage two years ago on February 11th, 2024.
You can find the message here.
13 And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
Exodus 14:13–14.
One of the main points from that message was: What you may see as a trial, God spoke to be a testimony of his glory.
God is always able to overcome even the most daunting trials!
We find ourselves in trouble when we forget that God has delivered. God is delivering. God will deliver us again.
God is always going to deliver us! How much more can we trust him in light of the good news and revelation of Jesus Christ, our Lord? We are a delivered people—time and time again!
Today, do not forget that the Lord is fighting your battles. Stand firm and watch. The Lord will deliver you again!
