Here is a quick peek at what happens at a Penteliturgical Pastor's desk at 9 pm. This is a quick note I jotted down this week, and a few resources I looked up as I read the first 3 chapters of Hebrews.
A099 Hebrews on the Evidence of God’s Salvation and the Holy Spirit
Hebrews 1 opens by revealing that God used to use prophets to reveal his plan, but now we have the full revelation of Jesus. Hebrews 2 opens with an argument that the Salvation of God is evidenced by the angels and heavenly work. It functions as a qal vahomer “how much more” argument: if the lesser point applies, then how much more does the greater point apply.1
If the signs of God’s salvation was declared from the prophets Heb 1:1-2 then by Jesus and his disciples (Heb 2:3) then the signs and wonders of God, Jesus, and the apostles, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we knew the salvation of God is testified by and for the will of God.
